WE SPILL THE BEANS

As promised, here's a place for you to leave links to your blog pages if you're going to write about all the fantastic things you're getting or sending in the mail from your Operation Haremail partners. Or if you don't have a blog, you can just leave a note about it if you want to. Or just lurk around and go check out everybody else's goodies and drool on your keyboards.
We had almost a hundred Haremailers by the time all was said and done, and I do apologize to everybody who didn't find out about it until it was too late to join. I really hated to turn anybody away and I squeezed in as many of you as I could.
We had people sign up from all over the place - England, France, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland, Australia, and Singapore. Did you know they had chocolate bunnies in Singapore? And the Aussie contingent is promising to send out chocolate bilbys. I am not sure what those are, but chocolate is chocolate, so I say bring it on. I would probably eat a wharf rat if it was made of chocolate.
We had one participant who said that she did not like chocolate, but we let her in anyway, the poor little thing.
The town that had the most Haremailers was Warner Robins, Georgia. We had Haremailers from just about every major city in the United States with the conspicuous absence of New York. (I think everybody there is busy hanging around in Central Park and looking at the Gates.)
(EDIT: I stand corrected. I forgot that not all people who live in New York have addresses that say NYC on them. We have at least two New Yorkers. I do apologize.)
Most of the people who signed up were ladies, but we did have two cute boys - Greg and Michael, who are currently in negotiations to star in the Operation HareMale 2005 Calendar wearing bunny ears and strategically placed Peeps. Coming soon to newsstands everywhere.
I've made another button to link to this entry, so for those you who posted the original button for signups, if you'd like to replace it with this little guy...

... you can do it by replacing that HTML line with this one...

I'm tickled that it got such an enthusiastic response, and I hope you guys have enjoyed it as much as I have!

Oh and I thought I was the only sad bunny out there! My haremail buddy never sent my package either. :( I keep trying to think of the package I sent to her as just a goodwill karma thing that someday will get repaid in another way, right?
Posted by: sunni at May 12, 2005 07:51 AM
I think the postman ate mine. I never got mine either.
Posted by: SAJ at May 11, 2005 02:52 PM
Never got a haremail either - oh well - I really don't need anymore chocolate.
Posted by: Colette at May 5, 2005 10:03 PM
When I mailed my buddies package to England they said it might take up to 6-8 weeks. She hasn't gotten hers yet either. :(
Posted by: Dianne at April 21, 2005 03:08 AM
still nothing. should I be sad? or still wait? so confused!
i knew my luck with secret santas was bad.. but i thought the bunny buddy would triumphantly overcome my fear of "gift exchanges". always the gift giver, never the receiver, I guess. i'll find somewhere to post a pic of what I gave (the towel that I hand-embroidered, lots 'o choco bunnies, etc) at least everyone can see that.
;( <-- crying

My package hasn't arrived yet either, but I could always blame it on the transatlantic slowness, no? I wonder if the package I sent has found its way home yet!
Posted by: a brown gown at April 15, 2005 01:20 PM
i still haven't gotten anything.. but i'm waiting with a hopeful smile. :) maybe i'll post the picture of what I sent my bunny buddy. ?

Yay! My operation Haremail package came! (Our mail is really slow here...) My bunny buddy Linda over at www.gray-star.com sent me some great stuff! A chocolate race-car bunny, peeps (my favorite!) tea, a cute card, jelly beans and a little white rabbit candy! Thanks so much Linda, I loved everything!!

We sure do have chocolate bunnies in Singapore! We're all about the food and sweets there :) Fine dining - no one does it better in SE Asia than Singapore!

Wooie! I got a coveted chocolate bilby from Australia! AND two specially-made-by-Jen softies: a bunny and a kitty. I am the luckiest haremailer ever. Check out the loot here: http://www.opendiary.com/entryview.asp?authorcode=C101885&entry=20039

... got my haremail package last week from Hope Wallace (soulofhope) and it's terrific! Lots of sugary goodness and a stuffed rabbit to boot! Thanks Hope!

I am in Baltimore and I got my operation haremail package, and think it's one of the best things I've ever gotten in the mail. It was an adorable little bunny, marshmallow bunny peeps, chocolate bunny candies, and some alpaca/silk yarn! I only feel bad because all I sent out was one crocheted rabbit and a card. He was cute, though, so it's cool.

My haremail arrived on Saturday and wow, we hit the motherlode! Thanks Leigh! I posted a pic and a little tour of the booty here: http://www.aplcreations.com/then/2005_04_01_then.html#111263971922677309.

I got my package! Thanks Melissa(http://www.livejournal.com/~knitsngiggles/) There is already a large dent in the population of chocolate animals I received. There is a photo on my site http://fireflyadventures.blogspot.com/. This was such a great idea!

Great trade! Look at the two Operation Haremail entries on my blog to see what I got from Monica, and what I sent to her. Sounds like great trades all around!
Posted by: Amanda at March 28, 2005 04:41 PM
I mailed mine last Wednesday. Since it's going over seas they said it might take 6-8 weeks to get there. :o( But I hope you like it when it finally does arrive. Let's call it a "Happy Spring" pacakge! :o) Enjoy!

Mine was sent off yesterday so Laura you should get it before Easter! I took a pic but I'm not posting it till I know she recieved it. I don't want to spoil her surprise! (And Laura, don't worry. I know how chocolate bunnies call to people like you and me!)
Posted by: Kitty at March 24, 2005 05:05 PM
My buddy should be getting her gift any time. I sent her a chocolate chick inside a chocolate egg. The egg was hand painted with colored chocolate. Here is a linkie to it to see a picture of it http://www.moonstruckchocolate.com/products.asp?catid=8&prodid=612 . I cannot wait for her to get it! Hugs!

I loved my bunny mail! Bertha really sent me a great package that included two yummy chocolate bunnies from Lindt and a box of chocolate carrots and not to mention an awesome hand sewn 'vampire' rabbit complete with a drained carrot! I have a pic up of my received package at http://www.gray-star.com under "Latest Project." I loved this swap! Bertha, you should be getting yours in about four days hopefully in time for Easter!

I just posted pics of my entry in the Haremail Hall of Fame--No peeking Georgia! But my sources say you should be chowing down right about now...

My Bunny Buddy is the awesomest.
I may someday get 'round to posting actual photos of my HareMail envelope, but expect there to be carnage in the form of half-eaten bunnies.
Posted by: Leah at March 23, 2005 08:39 PM
dang, i sent mine on Sat. and totally didn't even think of taking photos first. so, R will just have to post for me when she receives and I will do the same when mine shows up. And um, if things are melted, it's because it was over 70 on Sat. Sometimes living in Fla. is just tough :)
Posted by: stephlys at March 22, 2005 09:45 PM
Hip-hip-hooray. The package is on it's way!
Posted by: Jessica at March 22, 2005 01:53 PM
Mine's in the mail, but no pics until I know it has arrived (to maintain surprises and all)....oh, and I've just realized that I forgot to photograph half of it, so Jen may have to contribute some photos if anyone's interested! :o)
Posted by: Nikki at March 22, 2005 01:38 PM
Shipped mine out today to a Miss Lia! I have pics of the boxes all wrapped up on my site, but no peeks of the contents yet - don't want to ruin the surprise. Will have lots of fun checking the mail all week looking for goodies!
Thanks so much for organizing this!

HI!!!!THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU HAREMAIL BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!
I recived my package today and sent mine off today,so today was a very bunny day!!!!!
I hope we can do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the mysterious disappearance of 2 (possibly three, but my boyfriend and the dog aren't owning up to anything so I'm assuming he flew the coop) chocolate bunnies, we have a survivor who is now snugly boxed up and will be shipped off as soon as I get out of chemistry lab (yuck!) today.
Kitty, each time we've had a casualty your bunny has gotten bigger and cuter, so hopefully you won't be disappointed. These bunnies go down like flies at my house. It's entirely possible that the girl scout cookie icecream lasted longer than them.
Posted by: Laura at March 21, 2005 02:26 PM
Here's my package. I know it's early but in an all out effort to avoid sending this out late, I'm sending it out now. But Alexis, don't follow the link if you want a surprise!!
Posted by: sarah at March 21, 2005 11:29 AM
Yay!
I took today off to run some errands, so today is my designated bunny day. :)
Posted by: Kitty at March 21, 2005 10:04 AM
I just finished my package for my pal---will ship tomorrow---and post pics of the eggciting contents when I know it has been received--don't want to spoil the surprise, ya know.
Thanks for setting this all up--I had so much fun with this I hope you do it again! But please be a participant next time--you deserve it!
Posted by: Snowbear at March 21, 2005 12:16 AM
Of course you had a lot of people sign up--this was a great idea! I shipped my bunny out on Saturday . . .

I am from NYC - I know I live in Queens ( which is still NYC - unless you live in Manhattan ) so you do have all major Metro areas covered!
